Authorities: No evidence Tiger Woods was impaired in crash

LOS ANGELES, California (AP/KWWL) -- The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department says golfing great Tiger Woods has been transported to a hospital by ambulance after a roll-over accident Tuesday morning.

Authorities and Tiger Woods' manager say the golf star has suffered leg injuries in a vehicle rollover in the Los Angeles area and is undergoing surgery.

According to the Sheriff's Department, Woods was driving north around 7:20 a.m. when his vehicle crashed and sustained "major damage." There were no other vehicles involved and Woods was the sole occupant.

Woods was extricated from the vehicle with the "jaws of life" tool and taken to a local hospital for his injuries.

The crash is under investigation by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
