CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KWWL) – A former MMA fighter who grew up in the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area has been indicted for sex crimes against children, including child pornography.

The indictment from the U.S. District Court in Cedar Rapids accuses Travis Jon Fulton, 43, of sexual exploitation of a child, possession of child pornography and receipt of child pornography.

Fulton made his first appearance in Cedar Rapids Friday, February 19. It was after this appearance that the charges against him were unsealed by the judge overseeing the case.

The charges allege Fulton tried to entice a minor into sexual explicit conduct for the purpose of producing sexual explicit images, namely with a Canon PowerShot camera. This allegation stems from sometime around November 2020.

The two child pornography charges range from November 2018 to November 2020 where Fulton is accused of having pornography of a child below the age of 12 on a flash drive.
