A Wind Chill Warning is in effect for portions of Eastern Iowa until 10 AM Tuesday.
President’s Day: Clouds will increase throughout the afternoon and evening, as there is a light snow chance for our southeastern counties. Flurries and light snow will be possible in the late afternoon through the overnight hours today. High temperatures will be in the single digits below zero in the northern counties and single digits above zero in our southern counties. Wind chills will be around 20 to 30 below.
Tonight: Light snow will continue in our southeastern counties through the overnight hours. We’ll keep a mostly cloudy sky overnight. Accumulations will be around a trace to an inch in those affected areas. It’ll be dangerously cold night once again. Low temperatures will be in the teens below zero, with wind chills around 30 to 40 below.
Tuesday: Partly cloudy skies for Tuesday. High temperatures will be in the single digits ABOVE zero for all of Eastern Iowa. Wind chills will be around 5 to 10 below.
Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy skies remain for Tuesday night. Low temperatures will be in the single digits below zero. Wind chills will be around 15 to 25 below.
Wednesday: There will be a chance of light snow on Wednesday. High temperatures will be in the teens.
High temperatures will continue to increase throughout the work week, with highs in the 20s expected by the weekend. There looks to be another chance for snow/mix this weekend.
