Multiple accidents in Black Hawk County; Sheriff says ‘stay home’

WATERLOO, Iowa (KWWL) -- Black Hawk County Sheriff Tony Thompson is encouraging motorists to stay home.

Thompson says, dispatch is currently overwhelmed with the number of calls for accidents.

He told KWWL, the roads were extremely slick Tuesday morning, and drivers were not prepared for the current deteriorating conditions.

Sheriff Thompson says, "if you don't have to be on the roads, please stay home."
