Waterloo police respond to two separate shots fired incidents over the weekend, one injured

WATERLOO, Iowa (KWWL) -- Police are investigating two separate shots fired incidents from over the weekend. They say there's no indication they are connected.

On Sunday morning just before 3, officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of Columbia St. after a neighbor reported hearing several gunshots. No one was hurt, however, police determined a bullet hit the northside of a home. They have not made any arrests.


A little more than an hour and a half later, at 4:41 a.m., officers responded to the 200 block of Summit Ave. after a neighbor reported gunshots. There was no damage, according to police. However, during the call, officers said Sessions Triplett, 28, arrived at Mercy One Hospital with a gunshot wound to the toe. Police have not arrested anyone.
