First-ever Black-owned business expo to be held in Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KWWL) - Mama Mia's in Cedar Rapids has partnered with the Advocates for Social Justice and Willie Fairley with Willie Ray's Q Shack to host a Black-owned business expo.

According to the event post, the goal is "bridging the gap in the community while promoting and supporting our local businesses." There will be around 11 vendors at the event, with businesses ranging from cosmetics, clothing, food and more.

Tickets are $20 and will be sold at the door. The ticket includes two meal vouchers and access to all vendors. Meals are take-out only.

The expo will be held from 6 p.m. to midnight at the Knights of Columbus located at 1620 E Ave NE in Cedar Rapids.
