(KWWL) -- Jeopardy! Executive Producer Mike Richards announced on Wednesday that the iconic game show will feature a roster of guest hosts this season.

NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers, journalists Katie Couric and Bill Whitaker, and actress Mayim Bialik will each be a guest host this season.

Jeopardy! kicked off its latest season this week. Ken Kennings, who holds the record for most wins in the show's history, has been hosting the first episodes of the season. Richards will continue hosting duties for two weeks after Jennings’ current run of episodes concludes while the guest hosts prepare for their appearances.

The guest host announcements come after beloved host Alex Trebek died in December. The show aired Trebek's final episodes last week.

“Alex was a legend, revered by all of us,” Richards said. “I want to thank our guest hosts, who will not only help all of us celebrate his great legacy, but also bring their own touch to the show.”

Rodgers previously won a 2015 episode of "Celebrity Jeopardy" and says he he's excited for the opportunity to host.

"But man, the show has been so special to me over the years," Rodgers said. "It's been a staple in my house here in Green Bay for the last 16 years. You know 6 o'clock watching Alex and trying to get as many questions as I can."

A donation will also be made to a charity of each guest host's choice as a part of their appearance.

Additional guest hosts will be announced later in the season.
