UPDATE: No shots fired, call determined to be fireworks

UPDATE: As of Sunday morning, Dubuque police say officers determined the shots heard were not gun shots but the sound of fireworks.

A call came in around 6:47 PM Saturday night for a report of shots fired. Law enforcement and the Dubuque Fire Department processed the scene at the corner of 16th Street and Central Avenue.

A report from the Dubuque Police Department lists no injuries or property damage.

DUBUQUE, Iowa (KWWL) --- Police are investigating after reports of shots fired in downtown Dubuque Saturday evening.

It happened on 16th and Central. Windows appeared to be damaged by gunfire.

The road was blocked as crews worked the scene.

A statement from police is forthcoming.

We don't know yet if anyone was injured.
