Black Hawk County's COVID-19 status remains in the 'High' category, as local cases continue to rise.

Iowa Hospitals are taking care of more than 1,200 COVID patients, and staffs are feeling COVID fatigue.

So are Iowa schools. So much so, that dozens of schools are now requesting waivers for a return to remote, virtual instruction. Iowa City and Cedar Rapids are two of the schools moving to remote learning.

At this point, Waterloo and Cedar Falls schools have not made any such requests for online learning, but nw announcements could be coming any day.

Waterloo Schools Superintendent, Dr. Jane Lindaman, talks about the current Waterloo Schools COVID-19 situation for this week's edition of The Steele Report.

While Waterloo Schools have had less then 100 students test positive for COVID, staff shortages are being felt.
