Waterloo police investigate possible overnight shootings

WATERLOO, Iowa (KWWL) -- As of Sunday afternoon, Waterloo police were investigating two incidents in which shell casings were found.

The first occurred in the overnight hours of Saturday after a report of shots fired near W 6th Street and Grant Avenue. Around 11:30 p.m. officers found 3 shell casings at that scene.

So far, no injuries or property damage has been reported.

Later in the day, police were called to the 30 block of Lillian Lane for a man finding a shell casing that damaged a vehicle.

Police shared that the man wasn't sure when the damage occurred as he's been out of town for several days.
