DIKE (KWWL) - After a slow start, the Dike-New Hartford Wolverines used 3 big plays in the 1st half to jump out to a 20-0 lead and rolled past Jesup 41-6. The scoring opened with a 78-yard TD pass from Nathan Moore to Dane Fuller in the 1st quarter. After a Jesup punt, the Wolverines turned to the ground game. Drew Larsen peeled off TD runs of 60 and 86 yards to put the Wolverines up 20-0. Just before the half, the J-Hawks drove the ball to the 7 yard line but the Wolverine defense held strong and forced the J-Hawks to head to half without any points. The 2nd half featured more of the same from Dike-New Hartford, as the Wolverines win their 5th straight game. They'll advance to take on South Central Calhoun next week. Jesup ends the season 2-6.
