CEDAR FALLS, Iowa (KTIV) — Staff, students, parents and alumni of Bishop Heelan High School are in mourning after a second member of the school's Class of 2020 has died.

School officials say Isaac Roerig died on Friday in an accident in Cedar Falls. He was a freshman at the University of Northern Iowa.

The accident is being investigated by the Cedar Falls Police Department. They released a few details on Friday.

This is the second member of Bishop Heelan's Class of 2020 to die in the last few months. In June, Keaton Chicoine died after he was struck by a hit-and-run vehicle in Florida. That incident happened just two days before Chicoine was set to graduate.

The driver in that incident left the scene but was stopped a short time later and arrested.

Chiocine's diploma was presented to his family during commencement.
