Two people hurt in three-vehicle, Cedar County crash

Cedar County (KWWL) -- The drivers of a pick-up truck and car are hurt after a three-vehicle crash in Cedar County Monday morning.

Iowa State Patrol troopers responded to the area of Highway 30 and Charles Avenue just before 10 a.m.

Authorities said the truck, driven by Nicholas Steffen, 35, of Iowa City, crossed the center line on Highway 30.

Steffen then hit Kathleen Wickman's, 70, of Clarence, car head-on.

A helicopter took Wickman to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

Katherine Trout, 35, of Stanwood, drove into the ditch to avoid the crash.
