CEDAR FALLS, Iowa (KWWL) -- Because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the University of Northern Iowa made changes to its spring semester for 2021, including cancelling spring break.
In a news release Monday, the university announced that they will start the semester on January 25th, later than normal.
Along with cancelling spring break, final exams will be held the May 3rd to May 7th.
"These changes will give us the opportunity to further protect our campus community while still holding a full spring semester of on-campus teaching and learning activities. The modified calendar will also allow us to offer select classes during 3-week and 6-week winter terms through distance learning," a statement read.
Students will learn more about those courses from their individual departments when they schedule their spring classes.
