Body pulled from Cedar River in Waverly

WAVERLY, Iowa (KWWL) – Authorities in Bremer County are investigating after a body was found in the Cedar River Monday morning.

According to the Waverly Police Department, members of the Wavery Police and Fire Departments pulled the body of a man out of the Cedar River around 8:32 a.m. near the Bremer Avenue dam.

The body has been positively identified by family and police note the identity will not be released until all notifications are completed. The body has been taken to the Iowa State Medical Examiner's Office.
