WATERLOO, Iowa (KWWL) -- Police records for Thursday, August 20th offer more details from an early morning incident when a tanker truck barreled into a home in Waterloo.
The driver, who has not yet been identified, was first reported to police as running around naked in a parking lot in the 2100 block of West Ridgeway Avenue.
While responding to that scene, officers were notified that the man had drove off in a diesel tanker truck that he "did not have permission to drive."
Officers then spotted him driving east on Ridgeway Ave near near National Drive. There they noted that he was not wearing any clothes and he was "pumping his fists" as he drove past.
The driver struck 4 other vehicles before crashing into the home on East Ridgeway Avenue.
Much of the fuel spilled onto the roadway causing residents to evacuate. The spill has been cleaned up since.
