UPDATE: More than 406,000 without power following Monday thunderstorm

UPDATE: As of 6:25 a.m. Tuesday, PowerOutage.US reported 406,477 power outages across Iowa.

Some of the counties with most outages include Linn and Tama.

More than 96 percent of each county's customers are still without power.


UPDATE (KWWL) : As of 6:59 P.M. Monday evening, PowerOutage.US is reporting 480,247 power outages across the state.

Some of the counties with the most outages include, Linn and Polk, with more than 100,000 outages each.

6,641 of the 6,776 customers tracked in Tama County are reporting outages.

These numbers include outages from electric providers such as Alliant Energy, MidAmerican Energy Company, East-Central Iowa REC, and more.
