Although the severe threat looks minimal, an isolated severe storm is possible and could produce large hail and damaging winds. Once these storms roll out of the area this afternoon, it'll feel quite hot and muggy. Temperatures will be in the low to mid 90s and heat index values between 100-105 degrees.
Tonight: Clouds should clear out this evening, but it'll still be warm and humid. Low temperatures will be in the low to mid 70s.
Monday: Scattered showers and storms are possible as we start the work week. Temperatures will be a bit cooler in the mid to upper 80s.
Monday Night: Partly cloudy skies are expected for Monday night, with low temperatures in the upper 50s to low 60s.
Tuesday: Much needed relief from the heat and humidity finally returns to Eastern Iowa Tuesday. Expect mostly sunny skies with high temperatures in the low to mid 80s. Dew points will be in the low 60s.
