CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -- The Missouri Valley's reported postponement has one UNI star on the move. Pre-season All-American defensive back Xavior Williams tweeted on Friday that he'll transfer from the program to further his goal of playing in the NFL.
Williams move comes on the heels of a report from 247Sports Ross Uglem that the MVC Board of Governors' plans on postponing the fall football season. The conference is eyeing the spring for possible conference competition.
Williams, a two-time All-MVC defensive back, intercepted nine passes in his three-year UNI career, including one returned for a touchdown in his sophomore season.
