(KWWL) — There were 696 new, confirmed cases from 10 a.m. Thursday to 10 a.m. Friday, according to the state's dashboard, which brings the state's total number of cases to 44,474.
The state's website says that of the 44,474 people who have tested positive, 32,495 have recovered. This is 754 more recoveries than what the state reported Thursday.
11 additional deaths were reported within this time frame, leaving the state's death toll at 865.
There were 31 patients hospitalized in Iowa within the last 24 hours and the total number of hospitalizations is 225. Of those hospitalizations, 71 are in the ICU and 29 are on ventilators.
In Iowa, 5,921 new tests were given for a total of more than 475,497 that have been tested for COVID-19.
BLACK HAWK COUNTY
As of 10 a.m. Friday, the Black Hawk COVID-19 dashboard is showing data from 10 a.m. Thursday. There is a total of 3,553 reported cases in the county. There were 38 more recoveries for a total of 2,181. No additional deaths were reported in the county, leaving a total of 62 deaths.
According to the Linn County COVID-19 dashboard at 10 a.m. Friday, there were 47 more cases reported in the county since 10 a.m. Thursday. This leaves the total at 1,968 reported cases. There were also 44 additional recoveries, leaving it at a total of 1,613. There have been no additional COVID-19 related deaths in the county, leaving it at a total of 87 deaths. There are 7 current hospitalizations in the county.
According to the state's dashboard at 10 a.m. Friday, there are 35 new positive cases reported in Johnson County since 10 a.m. Thursday. This brings the total to 1,868 reported cases. There are 19 more recoveries reported for a total of 1,342. A total of 23,162 have been tested. There have been no additional COVID-19 related deaths in the county, leaving a total of 14.
According to the state's dashboard at 10 a.m. Friday, there are 33 new positive cases reported in Dubuque County since 10 a.m. Thursday. This brings the total to 1,460 reported cases. There were 97 additional recoveries, leaving a total of 709. A total of 19,267 people have been tested. There were no additional COVID-19 related deaths in the county, for a total of 28.
