Goodwill of NE Iowa requiring face masks

Goodwill Industries of Northeast Iowa says that beginning August 3, 2020, all employees and customers will be required to wear a mask or face covering at all of its Goodwill locations. The requirement applies to visitors and people donating items to Goodwill as well.

The agency says masks will be available for purchase at its checkouts in their retail stores as availability permits. The agency says it is keeping an eye on recommendations from local and state health departments as well as the CDC and FEMA.

Those recommendations include encouraging employees to practice CDC guidelines of frequent hand washing, the use of hand sanitizer, social distancing and other measures. It wants to let the public know that stores are disinfected several times a day, particularly in high traffic areas.

Updates for shoppers and donors can be found on the Goodwill website and social media.
