(CNN) -- A Twitter spokesperson says the company has temporarily restricted Donald Trump Jr.'s account after he violated their COVID-19 misinformation policy.
He posted a video featuring a doctor making false claims about coronavirus cure and stating that masks aren't necessary to prevent the virus' spread.
According to the spokesperson, some of the Trump Jr.'s account functionality, including the ability to tweet, will be limited for 12 hours.
The clip he posted was published by right-wing media outlet Breitbart News. It went viral online Monday, and Twitter, Facebook and Youtube all removed it from their platforms.
President Trump also retweeted multiple versions of the video, but the company didn't take action against him.
That's because unlike his son, the President didn't actually upload the clip.
