We will be watching for storm development after 2 PM. Some storms could be severe weather damaging wind and large hail. An isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.

Today: Another round of showers and thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon and early evening. The Storm Prediction Center has Eastern Iowa under a Slight Risk for severe storms that include the potential hazards of damaging wind gusts and large hail. The high temperature will be in the mid 80s.

Tonight: Storms will exit the area late evening, leaving a few clouds overnight. The low temperature will be near the mid 60s.

Sunday: Sunday will be quite pleasant with mostly sunny skies and lower dew points. That means we’ll be getting a nice short break from the humidity. The high temperature will be in the mid 80s.

Sunday Night: Sunday night will be nice and calm. There will be clear skies and the low temperature will be in the low 60s.

Monday:  We start the work week off with mostly sunny skies continuing and low humidity values. The high temperature will be in the mid 60s.

This upcoming work week looks like a wet one with storm chances for most of next week. Temperatures also will be on the rise as the week progresses. They are expected to reach near 90 degrees by the end of the work week.
