July 4th Evening: Happy fourth of July everyone, hopefully your day has been great and safe. We have seen a few isolated storms pop up in the north and east with otherwise partly cloudy skies. These storms should gradually come to an end by fireworks time as skies become mostly clear. Winds will be light with lows dropping to the upper 60s. It will still be humid with some patchy fog possible.

Sunday: Sunday will pretty much be a repeat of today with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s. Humidity will be high but not extreme, pushing heat indices into the mid 90s. Clouds will pop up in the late morning and afternoon with a stray shower or storm possible. Winds will be light.

Upcoming Week: The heat dome remains in place through the week with a very tropical forecast ahead of us. Highs remain in the upper 80s to low 90s with a south or southwest wind bringing humidity to the awful category. Heat indices may approach 100 at times. Lows will be in the low to mid 70s meaning there will be little relief from the heat. There will be low end storm and rain chances every single day with partly cloudy skies in between. The best chance for widespread rain may arrive on Thursday.

Next Weekend: Despite the elevated rain chance on Thursday, highs remain near 90 through Friday and the weekend with lows in the low 70s. Humidity remains high. Isolated storms are possible the first half of the weekend with a dry Sunday. Temperatures may dip into the 80s by the middle of next week.
