July 4th Holiday Weekend: The forecast is looking very consistent with hot and humid conditions – highs in the upper 80s to low 90s with humid conditions pushing heat indices into the mid 90s. We will see a mix of sun and clouds with just a slight chance for a stray shower or storm. Most will remain dry. Winds will be light as high pressure remains basically stagnant over the area. Stay cool and hydrated.
Nighttime lows will be in the upper 60s with partly cloudy skies and a chance for a stray shower or storm. Patchy fog will be possible.
Next week: The heat dome remains in place through the week with a very tropical forecast ahead of us. Highs remain in the upper 80s to low 90s with a strengthening south wind bringing humidity to the awful category. Heat indices may approach 100 at times. Lows will be in the low to mid 70s meaning there will be little relief from the heat. There will be low end storm and rain chances every single day with partly cloudy skies in between. The best chance for widespread rain may arrive on Thursday night.
Conditions next weekend look mainly dry with high heat and humidity as temperatures could surge further into the 90s.
