POSTVILLE, Iowa (KWWL) -- Norplex-Micarta is closed today for cleaning after one employee tested positive for COVID-19.
Alan Johnson, the Director of Operations, said for more than two months, the plant has been conducting temperature checks.
He said Norplex-Micarta is working on contact tracing with state and county health officials.
At this time, there are no other employees showing symptoms, according to Johnson. He said employees do no work in an assembly line and are not close together like many meatpacking facilities.
The company shut down yesterday to sanitize work areas. Johsnon hopes to reopen Wednesday afternoon.
