June 29: 298 new cases, 178 recoveries, and three additional deaths

(KWWL) — There were 298 new, confirmed cases from 10 a.m. Sunday to 10 a.m. Monday, according to the state's dashboard, which brings the state's total number of cases to 28,728. There were also 178 more recoveries reported for a total of 17,711.

Three additional deaths were reported within this time frame, leaving the state's death toll at 707.

There were 19 patients hospitalized in Iowa within the last 24 hours, compared to 15 yesterday. The total number of hospitalizations is 119, which is one more than yesterday. Of those hospitalizations, 35 are in the ICU and 18 are on ventilators.

In Iowa, 4,498 new tests were given for a total of more than 300,427 people that have been tested for COVID-19.
