June 28: 495 new cases, 120 recoveries, and no additional deaths

(KWWL) — There were 495 new, confirmed cases from 10 a.m. Saturday to 10 a.m. Sunday, according to the state's dashboard, which brings the state's total number of cases to 28,430. There were also 120 more recoveries reported for a total of 17,533.

No additional deaths were reported within this time frame, leaving the state's death toll at 704.

There were 15 patients hospitalized in Iowa within the last 24 hours, compared to 18 yesterday. The total number of hospitalizations is 118, which is 13 less than yesterday. Of those hospitalizations, 36 are in the ICU and 18 are on ventilators.

In Iowa, 11,716 new tests were given for a total of more than 295,929 people that have been tested for COVID-19.
