June 16: Nine additional COVID-19 deaths, 120 new cases, 367 new recoveries

(KWWL) -- Another nine deaths were reported for Iowa from 10 a.m. Monday to 10 a.m. Tuesday, according to the state's dashboard. This brings the state's death toll to 661.

There were 120 new, confirmed cases reported Tuesday which brings the state's total number of cases to 24,161. For recoveries, 367 more recoveries were reported for a total of 14,798.

Hospitalizations dropped slightly with 16 patients being hospitalized in the last 24 hours from 10 a.m. Monday. The total number of hospitalizations is 193. Of those hospitalizations, 71 are in the ICU and 49 are on ventilators.

In Iowa, more than 230,263 people have been tested for COVID-19.
