UPDATE: 18-year-old Mississippi River drowning victim identified

UPDATE: The Crawford County Sheriff's Office has released the name of the victim in the Mississippi River presumed drowning accident. The victim is Nathan M. Featherston, an 18-year-old from Waterloo.

The Sheriff's Office is stating that the case is still under investigation.


CRAWFORD COUNTY, Wisconsin. (KWWL) - Crawford County Sheriff's Office confirms the body of an 18-year-old from Waterloo was found in the Mississippi River.

The body was found around 3:20 p.m. on June 15, north of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin.

The man is presumed to have drowned after he was reported to have been seen near a boat landing on June 14, around 3:15 a.m.

The case is still under investigation.
