UPDATE: No threat reported after Black Hawk County Courthouse evacuated

UPDATE (12:25 p.m.): The Sheriff's department is doing a final walk through of the Black Hawk County Courthouse and then are opening the building back up.


WATERLOO, Iowa (KWWL) -- All non-essential employees are being sent home Friday morning after a bomb threat at the Black Hawk County Courthouse, according to County Supervisor Chris Schwartz.

Our KWWL crew on scene says the Sheriff's Office has cleared the building. Deputies are using a K9 unit to search the premises and employee cars.

Waterloo Fire and Rescue is also on scene.
