DES MOINES, Iowa (KWWL) — Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds has issued all flags in Iowa to be lowered to half-staff from sunrise on May 23 until sunset May 24. It is state that this is in conjunction with President Donald Trump's proclamation honoring the victims of COVID-19 in the United States.
Flags will be at half-staff on the Capitol Building and on flag displays in the Capitol Complex. Flags will also be at half-staff on all public buildings, grounds and facilities over the state.
Businesses, schools, individuals, municipalities, counties and other government subdivisions are encouraged to fly the flag at half-staff for the same length of time.
