Waterloo native heads MIT COVID-19 Face Shield project

Dr. Martin Culpepper is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at M.I.T.

These days, the Waterloo native, as East High and Iowa State graduate, heads up an M.I.T. effort to manufacture COVID-19 face shields for health care workers and first responders.

Five thousand of the M.I.T face shields were delivered to Waterloo just this week.

Dr. Cuilpepper, via Zoom video conferencing, took time to talk abut the effort for The Steele Report.
