Suspects in Waterloo armored car robbery plead not guilty

WATERLOO, Iowa (KWWL) -- Three suspects involved in an armored car robbery outside a Waterloo bank are all pleading not guilty.

Kevin Jouse Cruz Soliveras, 29, of Evansdale, Rogelio Gonzalez, 37, of Waterloo, and Justina Lynn Davis, 28, of Urbandale, have pleaded not guilty in connection with the incident that happened on March 11.

The initial incident came to an end when guards shot and killed their alleged accomplice, 37-year-old Bryce Miller of LaPorte City. Gonzalez and Cruz survived and fled, meeting Davis, who was parked blocks away. They were all arrested within the following days.

Soliveras, Gonzalez, and Davis are all charged with first-degree robbery, which carries up to 25 years in prison. All three are tentatively set to go to trial in May.
