Pillar of Cedar Valley worker tests positive for COVID-19

WATERLOO, Iowa (KWWL) -- Pillar of Cedar Valley in Waterloo confirms a staff member has COVID-19. That case was confirmed yesterday.

The worker has not worked in the facility since March 24. That person is receiving medical treatment and will remain in isolation for 14 days.

No other members of Pillar of Cedar Valley are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19.

They are working with local and state health officials to restrict visitors, cancel group activities, and take vitals on all shifts for every resident and staff member.

The facility has upped their cleaning protocols.

Pillar of Cedar Valley is contacting their resident families, and all staff, to keep them informed.
