Waterloo man arrested in Cedar Falls theft investigation

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa. (KWWL) - One person has been arrested after a trailer loaded with three snowmobiles was taken from a Cedar Falls business.

Shayne Laverne Fluhr is facing several charges.

On March 20, Cedar Falls Police investigated a theft of an enclosed trailer and three snowmobiles.

After receiving information about the possible location of the trailer, officers executed a warrant at a property in Denver.

That's where they found the trailer, but the snowmobiles were missing.

The three snowmobiles were later found in Waterloo.

At the same address, police found a second trailer that had also been reported stolen.

That investigation was handled by the Hudson Police Department.

The trailer and snowmobiles stolen from Cedar Falls were valued at approximately $42,000.00

Fluhr is charged with 1st Degree Theft and 5th Degree Criminal Mischief for the Cedar Falls case.

He's also charged with additional counts of 1st Degree Theft and 5th Degree Criminal Mischief in the Hudson case.
