First positive COVID-19 cases confirmed in Butler and Iowa counties

(KWWL) Butler and Iowa counties have identified their first positive cases of coronavirus.

The individual in Butler County is 61-80 years of age, according to the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH), and is recovering in isolation.

The individual in Iowa County is also self-isolation at home, according to the IDPH.

Earlier today, the IDPH identified 34 more positive cases of Iowans with COVID-19, for a total of 179 positive cases. As of 6 p.m. Thursday, these numbers do not include the cases in Butler and Iowa counties.
