Dubuque police respond to pedestrian vs bus crash

DUBUQUE, Iowa (KWWL) - A pedestrian was struck by a city owned bus this morning in Dubuque.

It happened around 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of Loras Boulevard and Cornell St. Officers responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a Jule bus.

Following an investigation, crews learned a 42-year-old male intentionally jumped in front of the bus. The man was then transported to Mercy Hospital for minor injuries.

The bus driver was not injured and there were no passengers on board. So far, no charges have been filed.
