WATERLOO, Iowa (KWWL) - Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Iowa has postponed their annual Bowl For Kids' Sake fundraiser due to the coronavirus outbreak.
A statement regarding the postponement on the BBBSNEIA Facebook page reads:
"In the interest of public health & safety for our community and stakeholders, our 2020 Bowl For Kids’ Sake fundraisers events have be POSTPONED until further notice. Once WHO, IDPH, CDC and Governor Reynolds office has advised that public gatherings are safe for the general public and stakeholders in our service area, we will reschedule.
We appreciate all of our partners for your understanding during this time. We hope that together we can greatly reduce the impact of COVID-19 in our service area in the following counties: Black Hawk, Bremer, Buchanan, Butler, Chickasaw, Fayette and Floyd. We are #BiggerTogether💚🖤💚🖤"
Scheduled for April 17, 24 and 30 in Waverly and Waterloo, the events will be rescheduled once public gatherings are deemed safe again.
