Aldrich Elementary staff bringing ‘wave caravan’ to students in Cedar Falls

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa. (KWWL) - With schools being closed amid Coronavirus concerns, staff from Aldrich Elementary are planing a 'wave caravan'.

It's set to take place on Friday, March 27 at 2 p.m.

Teachers and staff will drive their cars in a short parade through the neighborhoods of students: Meadows, Arbors, Prairie, Continental Heights, Quail Ridge and Lexington Heights.

Because of social distancing, teachers and staff will not get out of their cars.

But, they say they hope to see a few faces in windows, doorways or out in yards.

Students should listen for the sound of cars honking as teachers and staff drive through neighborhoods.
