MARION, Iowa (KWWL) -- School districts around the state have closed their doors due to COVID-19 concerns but some students rely on free and reduced meal programs.
The Marion Independent School District has released a plan to make sure no student goes hungry during the closure.
The district is asking area families to fill out a survey (click here to access) to help determine how many students will be utilizing the meal program no later than March 20th.
Breakfasts and lunches will be available for any students 18-years and younger beginning on Tuesday, March 24th.
Pick up locations will be at:
- Vernon from 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
- Longfellow, Starry, FMI, VMS from 10 a.m. to noon
Families can utilize either of the pick-up sites.
