Waterloo Center for the Arts closes until further notice due to coronavirus concerns

WATERLOO, Iowa (KWWL) - The Waterloo Center for the Arts announced Tuesday is has closed its doors as of noon today until further notice, in response to coronavirus concerns.

"While our doors are closed, our staff will continue to work on connecting people to the arts through social media, through public art initiatives, and by laying plans for a robust slate of programs for our community to enjoy once it is again safe to gather together in public spaces. Our staff will also use this time to focus on maintenance and improvement of our facilities," the center's Executive Director, Kent Shankle, said in a news release.

The center will continue to take and respond to phone calls and emails. Call 319-291-4490 or email the center at museum@waterloo-ia.org.
