UPDATE: Cedar Rapids Police investigating homicide after body is found in a vehicle

UPDATE: An autopsy has ruled the death of Jordan Haynes a homicide.

His body was found in a vehicle in a wooded area off of I-380 on March 12.

Details regarding the homicide aren't being released.

UPDATE: Cedar Rapids Police have identified the victim found in a vehicle on I-380 as 27-year-old Jordan Haynes. The investigation is still ongoing.


CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KWWL) -- Cedar Rapids Police are investigating after finding a body inside a car following a crash on I-380 Thursday morning.

Officers and firefighters were dispatched at 9:41 a.m. to a possible vehicle accident in a wooded area off of northbound Interstate 380 north of 76th Avenue SW.

First responders found the body of a man believed to be approximately 25-30 years of age, inside the vehicle.

Police are still investigating exactly what happened. The victim has not been identified.
