Vinton man injured in Linn County crash

LINN COUNTY, Iowa (KWWL) – One person was injured in a three vehicle accident Sunday morning in Fairfax.

According to a release from the Linn County Sheriff's Office, emergency responders were called to the accident near Williams Boulevard at 80th Street in Fairfax just before 10 a.m.

When crews arrives, they found three vehicles had crashed at the intersection. Scott Heubner, 47, of Vinton was on 80th Street and pulled in front of a vehicle driven by Michael Huber, 62, of Walford. The crash caused Huebner's vehicle to hit another vehicle on 80th Street driven by Pamela Zumsande, 52, of Fairfax.

Neither Huber nor Zumsande were injured in the accident, but Heubner was taken to a Cedar Rapids hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Huebner was cited for failure to yield and no proof of insurance.
