UPDATE: Suspect arrested in connection to Wishbone fire

UPDATE: Waterloo police have arrested a suspect in connection to a fire at Wishbone restaurant.

Kevin Josue Cruz Soliveras is facing charges for Second Degree Arson.

Authorities say Soliveras was already in custody for an attempted car robbery on March 11th.

UPDATE: Police say that damage to Wishbone restaurant is extensive.

The Waterloo Fire Marshall called firefighters back on scene late this morning as they were dealing with a slight rekindling of the fire in the roof of the restaurant.

According to the Waterloo Batallion Chief, the resurgence of the fire was nothing too major but smoke was visible coming from the roof. The wind caused the fire to rekindle and crews are working on airing it out again.

Police say the damage is extensive. No injuries are reported.
