UNI captures first indoor track title in 11 years

CEDAR FALLS (KWWL) -- UNI's Isaiah Trousis and Darius King led the way on Sunday as the Panthers captured their first Missouri Valley Indoor Track and Field team championship in 11 years.

Trousil won the title in the 200 meters clocking in at 21.88 as he and teammate Tayshaun Cooper took first and third in the event. Earlier in the day Trousil finished second in the 60 meter dash.

King led a loaded Panther field in the shot put. UNI captured five of the top seven spots with King earning top honors with a throw of 62' 7".
