UPDATE: Victim identified in Sunday morning shooting at Dubuque Kwik Stop

UPDATE: Dubuque Police have identified the victim in the early Sunday morning shooting.

Johnny Webb Jr., 21, of Dubuque was shot in the neck while he was in an ally behind Kwik Stop, according to police.

Webb told police he knew the shooter.

The 21-year-old was taken to Mercy Hospital and later transported to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Police said he does not have life-threatening injuries.

Dubuque Police told KWWL they have not made any arrests. However, this morning, officers found evidence of a shooting and investigators processed the scene.

DUBUQUE, Iowa (KWWL) - Dubuque Police are investigating an early Sunday morning shooting at a gas station.

They responded to the Kwik Stop at University and Asbury Road around 1:08.

According to our coverage partners, Dubuque in Pursuit, one person was shot in the neck and was taken to Mercy Hospital.

Police are searching for the shooter. The victim described the suspect as a black male wearing all black, who ran away from the gas station area toward Dodge Street.

Shortly after the shooting, dispatch said they saw a Silver Equinox on camera leaving the area and driving toward Flora Park. However, they do not know if the driver is involved.
