UPDATE: Darlington Police arrested Buman around 1:30 Friday morning. Officers found him at a tavern only a block away from his home.
Buman was arrested without incident and is being held at the Lafayette County Jail on a Department of Corrections hold. Police are still searching for Fitzsimons.
DARLINGTON, Wisconsin (KWWL) – Police in Darlington, Wisconsin are looking for two men, both of them wanted by the Department of Corrections.
According to the Darlington Police Department, Matthew Buman, 48, of Darlington is wanted after he cut off his ankle bracelet with a knife. Police said Buman is a registered sex offender and was placed under active community supervision following his release from prison. He is described as 6ft tall, 272 pounds, brown eyes and sandy hair.
Buman could be in the company of another man, Timothy Fitzsimons, 29. He is described as 6ft tall, 229 pounds, hazel eyes and brown hair.
Police have no information to suggest the two pose a danger to the public. They could be in Buman's vehicle which is a gray 2005 Dodge Durango with Wisconsin plates of 592VPJ.
Anyone with information on their whereabouts should contact authorities immediately.
