GILBERTVILLE, Iowa (KWWL) - An eastern Iowa teacher won the second 'Tools For Schools' grant in 2020.
Kaileb Armbruster teaches social studies and religion to sixth through eighth graders at Immaculate Conception-St. Joseph.
He's using the grant money to buy a 3D printer. He hopes to bring his lessons to life by printing small artifacts, which will make learning more fun and hands-on.
"Just a bunch of different ideas to give them a chance to see and feel artifacts, to be able to hold them firsthand, instead of just seeing pictures of them all the time," Armbruster said.
He's already thought of printing the Statue of Liberty, the Colosseum in Rome, and war medals.
The 'Cedar Valley Tools For Schools' Program is a partnership between KWWL and Green State Credit Union.
