Fog, in combination with freezing drizzle or mist, led to a slick and icy commute. The DOT has since cleared the major roads and interstates but a few slick spots may exist on back, local, and untreated roads.
Track road conditions HERE.
Cloudy skies will remain in place today with areas of fog. An isolated area of freezing drizzle can't be ruled out through the early afternoon. Winds will blow in from the north northwest at 5 to 10 mph with highs around 30 degrees.
Cloud cover continues through tonight with lows dipping to the low and mid 20's. With a light wind, fog will look to redevelop (if it does end up lifting this afternoon) with the potential for another round of freezing drizzle, particularly on the east side of the viewing area. Brace for potentially slick roads on the Tuesday morning commute. Otherwise, cloudy skies continue Tuesday with the lack of sunshine leaving high temperatures in the upper 20's. Winds will remain light.
For Wednesday and Thursday we will have cloudy skies with the chance for a few flurries or light snow showers. Highs will be in the upper 20's and low 30's with lows in the low 20's. Winds will stay light.
Friday and Friday night will bring a chance for some minor, light snow. Temps start to warm for the weekend as we are back to the mid 30's. FINALLY, sunshine looks to return on Sunday. Hopefully.
